Recommended Hardware For Home Offices
To insure complete network compatibility all users are recommended to replace their ADSL modem with a Linksys ADSL router.
OPTION 1: ADSL Router + 1 Line Phone handset
While this phone only has 1 line, the Global PABX is able to make announcements such as “This is a call for ABC Company” or “This is a call for the Sales Dept”. Phone plugs directly into ADSL router (no need for PC to be on). ADSL Router has 4 network connections allowing users PC to be easily connected. Call Hold, call transfer and 3-way Conference Calling.
OPTION 2: ADSL router with VoIP Line Built in
This ADSL router allows you to plug a regular (or cordless) phone directly into it for Global PABX calls. Incoming calls can be announced as “This is a call for ABC Company”. Features include call hold, call transfer and 3-way calling. Users plug their existing phone handset directly into the unit - their regular handset will then become their Global PABX handset. (Regular calls can still ring to the same handset).
OPTION 3: ADSL Router plus Executive 4 Line phone & Speakerphone
Phone allows the configuration of 4 separate extensions/lines – one handset can be used to answer calls for several companies. Phone plugs directly into ADSL router (no need for PC to be on). ADSL Router has 4 network connections allowing users PC to be easily connected. The system includes Phone book, Call Hold, Call Transfer and 3-way Conference Calling, Headset output and high quality speaker phone.
OPTION 4: Softphone on PC
Install the Softphone on any PC and you instantly have 4 PABX lines. With multiple lines, call transfer and call hold the softphone is the ideal mobile solution. No matter where you are in the world you can answer your calls directly on your Laptop. Plug into the hotel’s internet connection or use the airport’s wireless connection.
