Management Team
Harmon Wilfred
Harmon is the Founder, Chairman, and Director of Business Development for ITtelenet. He has a BSBA in Marketing and Finance and in excess of 30 years of international business experience. His background includes sales and marketing with the IBM Corporation and business and investment management of property and technology firms in North America, Australasia and the South Pacific. Since arriving in New Zealand in 2001, he has been actively developing new global technology opportunities through Broadband Powerline Communications or BPL and VoIP telephony. Harmon is constantly seeking new investment opportunities for the development of new technology products and services to broaden the horizons of the information technology industry.
Gerry Walmisley
Gerry is ITtelenet's Chief Executive Officer. With over 25 years of successful experience at the helm of international communications as well as public and private health and technology companies, Gerry has built a well deserved reputation as a skilled corporate entrepreneur. His management and professional experience ranges from start-up companies, to building annual revenues in excess of ten fold, including his most recent success on behalf of a well known international NGO in New Zealand. Gerry is a Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Management, a member of the NZ Institute of Directors and heralded as a popular keynote speaker at national and international conferences.
Damon Rutherford
Damon is Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Marketing for ITtelenet. Holding a degree in Computer Management Systems and Accounting, Damon's education brings a dual perspective as both the high tech and financial watchdog of the entire team. Damon has expansive hands on experience. Having founded two cable television companies in the early 90s he went on to hold management positions in three major U.S telecommunications companies. His experience also includes 5 years as CEO of PacAmTel, which became the largest and most successful satellite facility in Los Angeles distributing internet and telephony to all corners of the globe. In 2002 Damon orchestrated the successful sale of PacAmTel to the multi-billion dollar US company, Intelsat Satellite Corporation.
Gary McIlroy
Gary is ITtelenet's Chief Technical Officer. Gary has an electronics, transmission, RF and PABX background spanning 21 years including hands on engineering, technical training and the publishing of national telecommunications procedural manuals with British Telecom; as well as Managing Director of his own telecom company in London. Gary's key personal objective is to apply his accumulated engineering and software experience to enhance and support global telecom products, services, infrastructure and design as an integral member of the management team.
Sijing Yan
Sijing is ITtelenet's Manager of Accounting and Finance. With 15 years of business and accounting experience, as well as her background in Chinese and English language studies, her duties include serving as our interpreter and translator for all Chinese intra-company communication. Sijing also contributes her multi-lingual talent to her home country, New Zealand, as special interpreter for visiting Chinese dignitaries, as well as being the founder and President of the Christchurch Chinese Women's Association.
